Cold Chain Advantage: How SKOT INDIA Delivers Year-Round Freshness and Reliability

In fruit processing, consistency is critical. Manufacturers working with long production cycles or export timelines need ingredients that hold up month after month. Seasonal variability can’t interrupt formulation. At SKOT INDIA, we’ve built cold chain infrastructure to meet that need with precision.

This is how we deliver mango and tomato products with peak freshness 12 months a year.

The Challenge: Seasonal Fruits, Non-Seasonal Demand

Most Indian fruits follow narrow harvest windows.

  • Totapuri Mango: May to July

  • Alphonso Mango: April to June

  • Guava (Pink & White): January to April and September to December

  • Tomato: January to April

Yet SKOT INDIA’s global clients from juice processors to frozen dessert manufacturers need stable, food-safe formats year-round. Our response: deep investment in cold chain control and IQF technology.

The SKOT Infrastructure: Cold Storage Built for Reliability

SKOT operates over 50,000 sq. ft. of integrated cold storage, directly connected to our processing and packaging units. Here's how we maintain full control:

Aseptic Drum Storage (0–5°C)

Once processed, mango, guava and tomato purees are stored in sterile drums under consistent cooling, minimizing microbiological risk and preserving color and flavor.

IQF Freezing (–18°C with –35°C core pull-down)

Fruits destined for IQF in our case, Alphonso and Totapuri mango dices are flash-frozen immediately after dicing. This prevents large ice crystals from forming and ensures each piece maintains its shape, fiber structure and natural color.

Batch Tracking and FIFO Logic

Every pallet is tagged and logged with a first-in-first-out system to preserve quality and eliminate age drift. No batch sits longer than specified storage parameters.

IQF Mango Dices: Fresh Texture, Frozen Control

SKOT INDIA’s IQF line includes only mango dices Alphonso and Totapuri both processed using high-speed dicing equipment and flash freezing technology.

The result:

  • No clumping in packaging

  • Clean-cut edges and intact texture

  • High color retention

  • Minimal juice loss on thawing

Totapuri dices are widely used in frozen fruit blends, syrups and toppings. Alphonso dices, with their intense aroma and deep golden color, are ideal for premium dairy and dessert applications.

The Technical Payoff: Consistency in Every Batch

Cold chain logistics are not just about shelf life. They're about performance. With SKOT, clients benefit from:

  • Stable Brix and pH across batches

  • Consistent pulp and dice color without additives

  • Verified micro-safety reports on each drum or pallet

  • Storage assurance for 12–18 months under recommended conditions

This makes forecasting, procurement and formulation smoother especially for export-ready lines where delays or reformulation costs are unacceptable.

Global Shipping Without Risk

SKOT INDIA’s cold storage isn't just internal. It's integrated into our shipping and logistics model. We offer:

  • Pre-export container cold-loading

  • Temperature-monitoring through transport

  • Full documentation aligned with Gulf, EU and US compliance protocols

For our buyers, this means no gaps between what leaves our gate and what arrives at their factory.

Conclusion

Fruit is fragile. Supply chains are unpredictable. But at SKOT INDIA, we’ve engineered control into every step of the post-harvest journey.

Whether it’s a beverage line in peak summer or a dairy run in mid-winter, our clients rely on us to deliver not just product but predictability, batch integrity and zero surprises. Mail us at info@skotindia.com for any enquiries!
